Bothwell Chapel

Recipient of the 2017 Remodeler of Distinction Award for Historical Rennovation

The Bothwell Chapel was rebuilt in 1858 after being destroyed by a fire. It is located on the campus of Illinois’ oldest college, McKendree University in Lebanon, IL.

Drake Construction completed plaster restoration and paint for the plaster crown molding around the interior North, East, and West walls of the chapel. The open-air bell tower, within the steeple, allowed for years of water to penetrate and damage the interior plaster. Plaster repairs and painting to the center rosette were also completed, along with plaster patches for the ceiling above the balcony.
